Join us as a Finance Analyst for our SaaS Operations Team

In this highly visible role as the Lead Financial Analyst of SaaS Operations at BMC, you will serve as trusted finance advisor to the Finance Director of SaaS Ops and work collaboratively with SaaS Operations team as well as many other teams throughout BMC. The Finance SaaS Operations team has responsibility for budget, expense, forecasting, data center capacity planning, cost analysis, investment business cases and more. BMC is investing heavily in transforming our operations through CFM (Cloud Financial Management) tools and deployment of end-to-end FinOps practices, making this a very exciting time to join the team and be part of the transformation.

Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success:

• Business partnering with SaaS Operations and other teams throughout BMC in support of Cloud Cost Management


• Contribute to FinOps processes and practices.


• Contribute to maintaining the SaaS P&L and KPIs


• Support leaders on sales pricing and related gross margin expectations from sales proposals/quotes.


• Reporting SaaS gross margins trends by Customer, Product, Geography, Cloud provider


• Participate in annual and long-range planning, forecasts, zero-base budgeting, and quarterly reporting package of core performance metrics.


• Develop your leadership skills through encouragement and knowledge sharing, as well as leading projects and presentations with other SaaS Ops financial analysts.

To ensure you are set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration with 6+ years of advancing experience in a Finance related role, including 1-2 years supporting cloud cost management.


• Your background includes experience financially supporting business functions such as data center operations, SaaS operations or public cloud infrastructure.


• On-going experience with margin analyses, business case models, and cost build-up exercises.


• The ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data which is essential for costing out cloud costs including a solid understanding of how to use cloud billing data to identify cost drivers, track trends, and identify opportunities for cost savings.


• Advanced excel skills; Tableau, OneStream and Adaptive Analytics are preferred.


• Experience using AWS, GCP, or OCI native cost management tools.


• Experience with cloud cost management tools; cloud native or Apptio Cloudability (preferred).


• Experience and/or certifications in FinOps and CFM tools preferred.
